About Dr. Courtney Jackson, N.D.
Dr. Courtney Jackson grew up in a conventional medical family in the
Sunflower state of Kansas. From early childhood, Dr. Jackson wanted
to be a doctor and follow in the footsteps of her aunt (a cardiologist)
and father (an orthopedic surgeon).
While attending the University of Michigan, she steered away from her
pre-med program when she discovered her love of ecology and botany.
She decided then that she must choose a profession that would allow her
to stay close to the lessons she learned in her ecology and botany courses
promoting the wisdom of nature.
After graduating from University, Dr. Jackson moved to Summit County,
Colorado and reconnected with her medical roots. She worked in a family
planning clinic and as an emergency room E.M.T. and medical interpreter
for Spanish-speaking patients.
Deciding she once again wanted to pursue a higher degree in medicine,
Dr. Jackson went on to graduate from the prestigious National College of
Natural Medicine in Portland, Oregon. Due to her conventional medical roots,
Dr. Jackson believes very strongly in an integrative approach to patient care
to best serve the patient’s needs.
